The new photo contest "Landscapes" invited you to capture the beauty of the outdoors and submit your best landscape photos, from majestic mountain peaks and tranquil lakes to golden sunsets and endless horizons. We received an inspiring collection of entries that showcase nature’s splendor in every form. Our jury carefully reviewed the top submissions and has chosen three outstanding winners. The winner of the photo contest Landscapes… is Dennis van Gulik
Dennis’s entry, 'A beautiful cold sunrise at Linschoten', captures a crisp early sunrise in the province of Utrecht, the Netherlands. The photograph features a cool, misty morning with a captivating sky painted in shades of purple, yellow, and orange. A soft dawn fog blankets the landscape, while scattered trees emerge through the haze along the distant horizon. Dominating the scene is a single, large tree in the center, its bold black silhouette standing in striking contrast to the luminous background. Dennis wins an 80 x 120 cm Xpozer, perfectly sized to showcase his artistic vision on your wall.
2nd place goes to … Henk Pijnappels
Henk’s image transports you to a dramatic coastal scene captured after an invigorating early morning walk. His photo displays a building perched on a rugged cliff, accessible by a winding road that leads toward it. On either side, a dark, expansive ocean sets a moody backdrop, while a small orb of the rising sun emerges from the horizon, casting delicate hues of blue, yellow, and orange across the sky. Wispy clouds complete this dynamic and serene composition. Henk has won 4 EPIX Tiles, enabling him to create a stunning wall collage from his remarkable shot.
3rd place goes to … Judith Mijderwijk
Titled Vanishing Beauty, Judith’s photograph offers a window into a frozen realm within an ice cave carved from a glacier. Captured from inside the cave looking outward, the image reveals shimmering ice formations and a scattering of small icebergs or rocks floating in the dark ocean beyond. As the sun makes a gentle appearance at the cave’s mouth, its light accentuates the delicate, melting textures that define this transient landscape.
