One of our favorite pastimes is exploring the world and capturing photos of all the incredible sights we encounter along the way. Our planet is stunning, with so many beautiful places to admire. In our photo contest themed 'Natural Beauty,' we asked you to share your best captures of nature's wonders. We received an overwhelming response of amazing shots. From the 25 most-voted photos, we have selected our top 3. Congratulations to all the winners, and a big thank you to everyone who participated!
The winner of the photo contest fantastic is…Connie de Wit
This beautiful photo of the gannets is titled “Love is in the Air!”. It has a muted color palette that focuses all the attention on the form created by the caress of the two birds. The shape they are forming fills two-thirds of the image, which makes it balanced. A remarkable composition and a heart-warming moment.
The 2nd place goes to…Daniel de Byl
This epic shot of the young leopard caught our attention because it was looking directly into one's eyes. Additionally, the bokeh ensures that all the attention is focused on the feline's face. This image evokes an immediate connection with the wild spirit of nature and serves as a reminder of the fierce and incredible beauty of the wild.
The 3rd place goes to…Roelie van der Vegt
Roelie’s photo of the horse with the two playing foals looks like it is coming right out of a fairytale book: the pastel-colored palette, the foggy background that creates a mystical atmosphere, and the flowers that provide a magical charm. The horses are also white. The triangular composition of the playing foals in the center makes the picture look balanced but not boring. Simply great!
